Introduction

OmniSci is a versatile analytics platform designed to handle very large datasets. It uses graphics processing units (GPUs) alongside central processing units (CPUs) to query and visualize large amounts of data. Also, it is widely used in a variety of markets including government, public and private companies owing to its distinct advantage in rapid processing and mapping of large data, thereby enabling it to achieve higher levels of performance in their demanding analytics applications.

The VOGO Voice OmniSci connector provides easy access to execute the READ & WRITE functions.

Prerequisites

  • OmniSci database with access to connection credentials
  • Ability to whitelist IP address if the server is behind Firewall
  • Knowledge in writing SQL queries

Anatomy of Settings

Defining Settings values for OmniSci Connection

Name: It refers to the name assigned to the instance of the connector created.

Host: Provide the hostname to connect to the database on which the OmniSci server is running.

Port: Enter the port number used for the purpose of connecting to the database host.

Database: Furnish the exact name of the database to which access to data is intended.

Username: Specify the username for the purpose of authentication so as to establish access to the intended database. 

Password: Provide the user password specific to the OmniSci Server for the purpose of authentication.

Connector Usage

Now that a connector is established it can now be used within any interaction flow. Each usage of the connector will allow different configurations to retrieve different results. Those settings can be either static or dynamic based on the needs.

Defining Configuration Values for OmniSci Connector

Name: The name assigned to identify the connector and the results data. The assigned name is used every time the connector is called to action through the components in the interaction builder platform.
